Gastronomic day of the squilla and seafood cuisine, Cambrils

Every year in February, Cambrils organises the Jornades Gastronòmiques de la squilla, in the hope that all lovers of local cuisine and seafood products can enjoy these gastronomic days in one of the most beautiful coastal settings.

The town of Cambrils is known for being the birthplace of great chefs. Gastronomic excellence is one of its great claims and, precisely for this reason, it pays attention to promoting one of its star products: squilla.

During these days, the restaurants of Cambrils offer to taste, both locals and visitors, unique and original menus, adopting the galera as the main ingredient. Attendees will be surprised by the many culinary proposals prepared with this tasty crustacean of the Mediterranean that can be tasted in countless versions: squilla cream; rice dishes of all kinds; sautéed squillas with calçots; monkfish romesco with squillas and artichokes; bouillabaisse of squillas, seafood and seaweed; squilla cannelloni; blond noodles with squillas, or grilled squillas are some of the possible proposals.
