Vinyes del Terrer is a winery located on a farm practically at sea level within the Tarragona Designation of Origin (DO). A hidden oasis amidst the humanized landscape of the Costa Dorada, a winery in the heart of nature, perfect for enjoying enotourism among vineyards and olive trees.

Founded in 1989, where Eduard’s great-grandfather – the current owner of the winery – began cultivating the land. Eduard’s father sensed that the future lay in stopping bulk grape sales and decided to vinify and bottle the wine with his son’s help. They knew they were entering a challenging terrain, as they lacked experience, but with tenacity and tremendous effort, they managed to produce the first vintage, albeit with very limited production, yet well-received in the market.

The family learned to produce quality wine through research and observation. Through trial and error, they have continuously improved agricultural techniques, and the result leaves a lasting impression on visitors.

One of the defining characteristics of the winery is its terroir. The estate features “lumaquela,” a calcareous rock that contains a large number of marine fossils, as thousands of years ago, the entire area where the winery is located was once underwater. This unique terrain imparts a distinct personality to the wines, showcasing the soil in which their vineyards of garnacha tinta, cabernet sauvignon, macabeo, and sauvignon blanc are planted.
